Duke of Edinburgh Award
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a voluntary, non-competitive programme of activities for anyone aged 14 to 24. The award gives young people the chance to experience new activities and develop new or existing skills. It is also an opportunity for young people to make friends, develop self-confidence and have a credit to record on their CV.
There are three progressive levels of programmes which lead to a bronze, silver or gold award.
Young people create their own Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme by choosing an activity from each of the award’s four sections:
1 - Volunteering
2 - Physical
3 - Skills
4 – Expeditions
Adults can also get become involved as trained helpers.
