Blueberry Nursery School
Our environment
Blueberry Nursery School in Hove offers an exceptional environment for children.
We have an impressive outdoor area tailored to the children's interests and needs. All the rooms in the nursery have access to an outdoor area at all times, as well as two fixed slots each day in the nursery garden. All children have the opportunity to work with our full-time outdoor specialist and benefit from the activities he plans on a daily basis.
Indoor and outdoor activities are set at a pace that your child will find challenging yet enjoyable. Activities are planned for separate age groups, which mean that the learning environment caters specifically for the child’s stage of development.
As part of our nursery curriculum we plan regular outings for the children. These can either be spontaneous trips into the local community or trips to farms, zoos, nature reserves and woodland areas where the children get to experience the best nature has to offer. We also hold events to enable parents to feel involved in all aspects of the nursery whilst having the opportunity to socialise with others. See our Facebook site to see all the exciting things that we do!
Blueberry Nursery School has a history of outstanding by Ofsted and is open 50 weeks of the year.
Our staff
At Blueberry Nursery School, we believe that getting the right staff to work with the children is the most important factor in helping a child flourish. We also have Italian, Spanish and Japanese speaking staff. Having a skilled and motivated staff team filters through to all aspects of the nursery experience and our low staff turnover enhances stability for the children at Blueberry Nursery School.

Staff have experience in working with children with special needs and disabilities and we have a designated special needs and disabilities coordinator (SENCO). At Blueberry Nursery, we run an extensive, multicultural fun curriculum allowing children to understand the world, communities and traditions.
Food
