I have been a childminder for over 23 years and have three grown up children of my own. I live with my husband and younger daughter in a very quiet area of Patcham and my home is very child friendly. In the time I have been a child minder I have done many courses including first aid and I have just completed  my NVQ 3 in childcare and will be doing a child protection course in October.
I work closely with another child minder and am able to offer cover during my holidays to provide a seamless service to parents and care with someone that the child knows well.
I regularly go to local toddler groups with the children and also help run a local child minders group who meet regularly in a play centre for children. I also have very good links with the schools that the children in my care attend and am part of a small child minding network linked to Patcham Infants School.
During the school holidays I do lots of outings to local attractions and parks and sometime further afield. I  have a large well equipped garden with swings and slide and a very large play house which all the children enjoy playing in. Many of my children come to me through recommendation and stay through until they leave to go to high school or move away. I like to provide a warm family friendly based environment for children in my care and a place that parents feel confident and happy to leave there children.
