Iris Brighton

Iris Brighton is a family and relationship practice which offers a range of services.  This includes contact sessions, work with separating or separated parents, direct work with children, parenting work including parenting skills, family work, family therapy and assessment work.

The premises are bright and spacious, specifically equipped to make children and families feel comfortable.  There are toys and games suitable for all ages, as well as a kitchen and baby sleeping area.

Supported contact sessions at St Peter's Church

IRIS offers a supported contact session alternate Saturdays which is £10 per hour for up to two hours for people on universal credit and for some other benefits this is £4 an hour. 

The handovers can be offered on alternate Saturdays only.

• Handovers - A neutral venue for handover transition to take place at the start and end of contact. IRIS can support the parents in doing this directly, or arrange that they do not see each other, as required according to the needs of the child and the overall situation.
• Cost of each handover £7.50 (so £15 if both ‘sides’ of handover are used) Discount service for people solely reliant on benefits (£3 per handover so £4 both ‘sides’).

• Prior to offering any service there is a one off fee of £35 (£25 for people on benefits) which includes the costs of separate initial meetings with each parent to hear the issues from their perspective e, discuss their hopes, fears, enable us to carry out an assessment of risk re. contact, talk about how they work and complete necessary paperwork.
• Families can refer themselves directly either by phoning or emailing, and IRIS will get back to them.
• Other Contact services IRIS offer  include guided contact, supported contact and community contact
