Bee in the Woods Kindergarten

Bee in the Woods Kindergarten is a extraordinary outdoor preschool set in beautiful woodland and allotments on the outskirts of Portslade.

At Bee in the Woods we are passionate about providing high quality Early Years education through nurture and nature.  Our children spend their days playing amongst the trees; climbing, swinging, gardening, story-telling, wildlife spotting, tool-use, creating imaginary worlds, beach school, yoga, mindfulness and campfire cooking are all part of our rich curriculum, set in an ever changing environment.  We trust in the strength of nature for enabling children to become creative and resilient learners.

Our practitioners are highly qualified teachers and Forest School Practitioners and we are passionate about developing strong bonds with children and their families to enable them to thrive. With an emphasis on wellbeing and developing emotional literacy, we support young families during these important early years.

We are open Mon-Fri Term time only and operate a popular woodland holiday club during school holidays.

Our Kindergarten is available for children aged 2.5-5 years old

We run a Home Ed Forest School group for children aged 5-7

Our Monday Stay & Play caters for preschoolers and their families.

Universal 15 hours funding offered term time only.
