St Anthony's Pre-School
Our environment
St Anthony’s Pre-School has been established for over 24 years. We aspire for all our children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who achieve personal success and develop a love of learning. At St Anthony's Pre-School we provide high quality early years childcare and development. We provide a warm welcoming secure environment for all children and encourage and value every child’s contribution to the school.
We offer a range of stimulating activities across our broad, balanced and carefully planned curriculum. Each session has a good balance of free play, supported by our experienced team of nursery staff and structures. We strongly believe in developing a love of learning through play in young children that gives them confidence and a head start on entering the reception class at primary school. We have a garden at rear and we regularly go to park across the road as well as the local shops, with the aim to build strong collaborative partnerships with families and the local community.
Our Staff
All our staff are trained and hold level 3 childcare qualifications. At St Anthony’s we encourage and enable the continuous professional development of all staff.
Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
We are very experienced in having children with special needs and have had some with 1:1 provision. We believe that having children with particular needs enhances our Pre-school.
Inclusion
We have a large number of children from different ethnic backgrounds. We welcome everyone and celebrate their differences. We are very experienced in children with English as an additional language and have a variety of different languages spoken in our Pre-school. We celebrate their languages and incorporate them into our provision.
Food
Please bring packed lunch or food to heat up.
Flexible, emergency and occasional childcare
We are flexible if spaces are available and offer occasional places to registered families. To ensure the ratios are correct please discuss this with manager before hand. We can also provide emergency childcare for registered families, subject to a space being available. Contact the manger to discuss.
