My name is Melissa. I am mum to 2 teenagers. I have worked for many years in lots of childcare settings from running a day nursery, being a childminder and now a part-time nanny.
I have many qualifications to aid my skills of caring, nurturing and making children safe while in my care. I undertake direction well, meeting your expectation of well entertained, safe and contented children. I welcome children from all backgrounds to feel confident and relaxed in my company.
When necessary, I will provide age-appropriate activities to stimulate learning.
I enjoy artwork, so will make time in any busy routine to develop and encourage creative thinking.
I regard myself as an energetic individual. I run marathons and as a result, I understand how important physical activities are for children and I make use of all the parks Brighton has to offer.
I am known for my happy disposition and I think this has a positive effect on the children I have cared for. I am a good listener and communicator which is essential when dealing with both children and their parents.
