Brighton & Hove Youth Collective

The Youth Collective  is a “one stop shop” for everything young people need to know about what to do  and where to go for help across Brighton and Hove. If you are aged between 13 and 19 years old and are looking for events, clubs, advice or counselling you can find it on the Youth Collective’s website


Brighton & Hove City Council Youth Service 

The BHCC Youth Service works with young people aged  11-25, and up to age 24 for young people with special needs.

 The Youth Service has two priorities 

  • To deliver targeted ‘Early Help’ preventative interventions to build resilience reduce risky behaviour and develop young people’s social and emotional skills – enabling them to make positive choices, manage change and navigate risk.    
  • To empower young people to have a voice and present their views to key decision makers to influence change on a local and national level. 

The Youth Service has: 

  • A City Centre Street Based Youth Work Team
  • Health Specialists (teenage pregnancy, sexual health and substance misuse)
  • An integrated Youth Participation and Advocacy Team, supporting young people’s voices to be heard and young people in social care to have independent rights and support information this includes the Brighton and Hove Youth Council    
  • A Duke of Edinburgh Award programme - targeting vulnerable groups including young people with special educational needs
  • An Outdoor Education Advisor - providing support and guidance to schools and youth groups on adventurous and off-site activities.
  • Youth Employability Service - Supporting young people who are 16 -19 who are at risk of/ or NEET
  • Mobile Play Project – Free play activities for children 5 – 10yrs (link to play face book)
